We have recently found that one of the non-peptidic 5HT2A and 5HT2C receptor antagonists inhibits DA receptors in rat brain homogenates. Recently, we developed and characterized novel 5HT2 receptor antagonist. These compounds show high affinity for both 5HT2A and 5HT2C receptor. The compounds show relatively low potency for D2, and are devoid of any effect on locomotor activity. In the present study, we further examined the interactions of these compounds with D2 receptors and DA uptake site.
